This time last week we were coming to the end of our first hair event of 2017; KMS #BackstagePass.
To celebrate the re-brand of KMS and their style community, Collective Two produced a bespoke event, bringing to life the key KMS messaging. Salon owners and hair dressers from across the UK flocked to B1 at Victoria House to experience the ‘new’ KMS first hand.
We wanted to ensure the energy of the KMS brand was brought to life in an exceptional way. To do this we took guests on a journey through the venue, creating different areas and rooms, each with their own individual KMS experience. Educating guests in a creative and engaging way was key to this event.
KMS Do Things Differently.
Guests started their journey with the KMS Gallery, showcasing illustrations of the KMS products and models it was a great way for them to see the style of the ‘new’ `KMS brand. Guests then entered the Live Backstage Area…
Live Backstage Hair Styling by Shaun Hall.
The first room welcomed guests to watch Shaun Hall styling the models hair and educating guests on the new KMS products. This was a glimpse into how the KMS team work backstage, which created the beginning of the style community buzz. Guests enjoyed the demonstration whist sipping on cocktails in paint tins and tucking into the assortment of mini burgers and mac n cheese street food…
KMS Cinema Room – Brand Story and New Direction of KMS.
The journey continued into the KMS cinema room, which screened the brand’s story and the new direction of KMS. The short film encouraged guests to be proud of their style and that whoever or wherever you are, style matters.
Fashion Showcase by Bora Aksu.
We were lucky enough to host Bora Aksu and showcase his recent collection. KMS and Bora Asku collaborated at London Fashion Week with KMS styling all the models for his LFW shows. This area displayed some of Bora Asku mood boards from the collection as well as a few of his key pieces and LFW video…
Start, Style, Finish Consultation Area.
Guests were then welcomed by KMS stylists in the consultation area, the stylists gave each guest a personalised one to one consultation, leaving with products to suit their hair type and needs. We created this retail area in-keeping with the raw & stylish vibe of KMS.
To bring the KMS style community to life, guests could have their photograph taken at the photo booth and take a little piece of the day home with them to remind them of the community they were now a part of. The images from the day were also displayed on the style community wall for all the guests to see…
The Hair Show
The journey came to an end at the KMS backstage pass show, as guests took their seats a live feed from backstage appeared on the LED wall, which created a real buzz ahead of the show.
All of the back stage was brought to life at the hair show, the models rocked the raw sophistication looks which were styled by Simon Miller and Sam Burnett, who then joined the catwalk to talk through the looks and products with guests. They both shared their ideas and passions and welcomed everyone to the Style Community, uplifting guests and ensuring they truly felt part of the community and that each and every one of their styles matter…
The evening ended with the KMS party where our resident DJ had guests dancing and sipping on craft beer, whilst admiring the new campaign imagery.
