SOPHIE LUHR CO-FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Having always had a creative streak, coupled with a love for socialising and bringing people together, I found my niche in the events industry 10 years ago. Since then I haven’t looked back once and have thrown myself head-first into creating special occasions that people will remember.

My experience spans everything from delivering small, country weddings in boutique hotels to curating 1,000 capacity corporate events in the city – but regardless of the scale of the task, I pride myself on my attention to detail and my need to always strive for perfection.

Since being taken on by Hearst Magazines 3 years ago I have focused mainly on fashion, beauty and live creative concepts. My time at the company saw me organising high-profile events for the likes of Cosmopolitan and Red – a job which while high-pressured and demanding, gave me a chance to hone my skills and build a reputation within the industry.

It is so exciting to be part of an industry that is constantly evolving, I can’t wait to see what innovations are around the corner!

I entered the events industry 8 years ago with the belief that creating live experiences for people to enjoy would be the best job ever… and I wasn’t wrong. Through my time working in the industry I have learnt and witnessed the power and influence of live immersive experiences. Now I believe that there is no better or more effective platform than experiential when it comes to connecting with people.

I have worked on multiple creative events and experiential partnerships over the years; including producing events in house for Cosmopolitan and Elle, working mainly in the B2C sector producing bespoke live experiences for brands within fashion, beauty and lifestyle – working with each individually to bring their brand to life in a way that was unique, engaging and that generated share-ability.

For me it’s all about thinking outside the box; pushing the boundaries of creativity and live innovation is what I love most about this job…it is always exciting to think about where we can take it next!
