The low compression ratio makes it difficult to use those heads on a 400 CI engine and a high performance camshaft. If they are truly 243 heads from a GTO, they originally were on a 05/06, not a 2004. It's possible they were swapped onto a 2004 GTO at some point, but they are not stock heads. The casting itself for a LS2 243 head is the same as a LS6 243 head, only the valves are different.
